Salem Regional Athletics Competition - Special Olympics Oregon

Join us at McCulloch Stadium on Sunday, June 14th, for an exciting day of track & field! This is one of four regional Athletics competitions across the state hosted by Special Olympics Oregon for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a qualifying event for Special Olympics Oregon's Summer State Games. Athletes compete in various track and field events. Special Olympics Oregon is recruiting volunteers to assist with this event. Volunteer roles include timers, runners, field support, escorts, staging, results, awards, and lunch distribution. Timers: Record athlete times for track events Runners: Bring times/scores to awards tents between events Field Support: Assist with field events: measuring & officiating jumps & throws Escorts: Walking athletes to awards upon completion of an event Staging: Checking in athletes and walking athletes to starting positions Results: Receive and record athlete results There are full and half day shifts available. Full day volunteers will be given lunch during the event, and all volunteers will be given a Special Olympics Oregon t-shirt.
