World-renowned for the natural beauty and plentiful resources our forests provide, Oregon is also increasingly becoming a victim of a devasting annual wildfire season that not only scorches our land but significant local industries and our region’s economy as well.

In November, our Forum Speaker Series welcomes a panel of experts to discuss challenges facing our timber and forestry industries, the economic impacts of wildfires and other external forces, and how we, as a community, can work to mitigate these impacts and find forest management solutions to keep our forests healthy and viable.

While our rural communities have felt the unmerciful brunt of wildfires and harmful forestry policies, the health of Oregon’s forests truly impacts us all.
