Oregon Politics 101: Understanding How Local and State Policy Impact Your Business
About the Presentation:
Join us for a timely update on the Employee-Paid Payroll Tax and an introduction to how legislative concepts become bills and the impact they have on business.
About the Speaker:
Born and raised in Portland and with a background that spans the urban perspective and the rural aspects of the Willamette Valley, Lena is well versed with the culture and diversity of our region, as she is with its complex political landscape. In her previous position as a Legislative staffer and Campaign manager, she gained experience in researching and analyzing local political issues. This understanding translates well as she works with policy initiatives and local coalitions for the health of Salem’s local businesses. With a self-described “open mind with an intense curiosity for different perspectives,” Lena seeks to understand, engage in healthy discourse, and build relationships that can enhance the Salem community.
