Business Advocacy: Budget and Public Safety Updates

Join us for our next Business Advocacy Meeting on July 9, as we receive updates on the City Budget and Public Safety.

The City of Salem will present about the approved budget (FY2027), and City Manager Krishna Namburi and Salem City Councilor Paul Tigan (Ward 1), who also chairs the City of Salem Budget Committee, will provide context surrounding budgetary priorities.

We'll also receive an in-depth public safety update on the City's new Prevent, Treat, and Enforce initiative by Laura Shaw Casarez, and we'll get an update from Marion County Sheriff Nick Hunter.

Additionally, we will get an update about recent Legislative Days and proposed bill concepts for the next session from our contracted lobbyist, Nicole Palmateer Hazelbaker.
