Directed by Qinqing Qian, the Willamette University Pacific Rim Symphony Orchestra presents an afternoon of student excellence and timeless storytelling. The program opens with showstopping instrumental and vocal classics performed by the student winners of Willamette’s annual concerto competition. The concert culminates in Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, a beloved musical setting of the classic Russian folktale, brought to life through music and narration by special guest, University President Steve Thorsett. Free admission–all are welcome to attend.
