SUMMARY:Public Policy
DESCRIPTION:The City of Salem is looking to update their Comprehensive Plan and have started a process called Our Salem which is their attempt to involve the public in the update. They have composed a "report card" to help guide the process from here. The Chamber has been monitoring this process and working to get our members involved. Unfortunately the participation has been low as the meeting times have been in the evening when most working families are looking forward to getting home.\n\n \n\nCity Staff recognizes the importance of having the Chamber's input and has agreed to come and do a stakeholder meeting at our October Public Policy meeting. Now we need you and your voice. Please plan to join us Thursday at Oct. 3rd at 7:00 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce.
