Founded in 1994, Scott Simonich build a successful, stable Mortgage company by truly getting to know his customers and matching them with the right loan products to meet their needs. The evolution and growth of Commerce Home Mortgage over the past 20 years could not have been possible without the dedication and integrity of our great team.
What are some of your passions? How do they fuel you every day?
We are passionate about helping families buy homes.
What are some difficulties that you face in your industry?
Our industry is facing limited home inventory and rising interest rates. We have several products and creative financing options to help overcome these market trends.
What is something, a saying or quote, that you live by, and how has it impacted your business?
What we do for ourselves, dies with us. What we do for others and the world, remains immortal ~ Albert Pine
Through our servant leadership culture we have been able to attract lending professionals in Salem, and serve more families in the community.
What are some of your company's exciting updates or news that you'd like to share with Salem Area Chamber members?
We have recently opened a Salem office and are continuing to grow. We have new loan products coming available in the New Year that we will be excited to share as they become available. Commerce Home Mortgage has strategically merged with The Capital Corps’ which will allow us to offer proprietary lending programs. Some of these programs will allow lending to 27% of the U.S. population the FDIC identifies as underbanked. This includes borrowers who are unable to obtain loans from banks due to overly burdensome or technical documentation requirements that do not reflect on the borrower’s true credit-worthiness.
What are your goals for Chamber membership?
Our goal is to remain engaged in our community through this business organization as well as maximize networking opportunities.
If you could say one thing to the Salem community about your business, what would it be?
Knowledge and experience you can trust in the mortgage industry. We are not a transactional organization, we are a relationship company.
